I'm ok if you make fun of me for this love lesson!
All jokes aside, perhaps you feel like you're the gardener in the relationship or maybe you feel like you're the flower. Either way, you don't know how to break out of this pattern or you don't want to. Maybe this will give you permission to do so. If you have a harmonious relationship, sometimes it means having your partner take care of you or you taking taking care of your partner.
It's important to do and be both at some point in your relationship. Think back to a time when you really needed a friend and they were there for you no questions asked. Think back to a time you were there for someone no questions asked. It feels good. It's important. And that's community. Your partner is just one part of your community. Take care of each other. Tend to each other. Give each other what they need. And of course, don't forget about your needs.
Here's this week's Love Lesson Episode. Love Lessons Ep 24 Gardener & Flower
Sending love to you today!
Your health should be your number 1 priority. If you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything. This includes your mental, emotional, Spiritual, financial and physical health. Everything is connected. If you feel good, those around you feel good. If you feel like crap, are moody or unstable those around you are effected. So, if you’re mental, emotional, spiritual, financial and physical health are not at a 100% most likely your Love life isn’t either. Side note. Relationship are not always in harmony all the time.
Don’t fret, it takes self care; checking in with yourself and doing the work that is needed to make sure you’re in good health. It means making yourself a priority. It means being selfish every now and then. It means saying no when you want to say no and asking for something when you need it. It means doing what you need to do even when others don’t agree or find it odd. How many of you want to eat better or work out but have others speaking out against it? I certainly know from experience, I had a mentor say to me years ago, “when are you going to gain weight?” I had been eating really well, exercising and taking care of myself. I felt amazing! But this person was insecure with themselves and most people don’t like others to change. Change scares people. And taking care of yourself is very scary to many. Do it! No matter what others think of you or say. Do what you need to do to feel at your best and healthy self. Let others deal with their insecurities .
Which brings us to today's Love Lesson, Your Health Effects Your Relationship. Do whatever it takes to take care of health.

"Certain thoughts are prayers. There are moments when, whatever be the attitude of the body, the soul is on its knees." -Victor Hugo
Ive never been a devoted Catholic. I went to a Catholic private school when I was young, but I was constantly in trouble. So much of what I personally believed about the church was debunked by my teachers. They would tell me I was wrong. I still don’t believe a lot of what the church tells us to believe in, but that doesn’t mean that I’m opposed to going to church or even talking about God. This is the beautiful part of life: to have free will and free thought. I do enjoy learning about the beliefs of almost every religion.
I grew up with Catholic Voodoo, as my mother called it. Hang your rosary outside if you don’t want it to rain. Make the sign of the cross if you have a bad dream. There are St. Joseph cards in my luggage so my bags don’t get lost, and I always carry one in my wallet. I have found over the years that when I don’t have a St. Joseph card in my wallet or in my bags, they get lost. Through a longer story than what I can share now, I have found the Catholic Voodoo to work. It could be in my head, but I’m not taking a chance. I’ve seen it work for myself and too many others to not put some weight into it. Because I am all about love, there just happens to be a saint for love - St Anne. “St Anne, St Anne, send me a man as fast as you can.” Catchy right!?! St. Anne can help bring more love into your life. I have heard many swear by these prayers that they found their significant other shortly afterwards. Really, we could all use more love. Even if you’re in a relationship you can say the novena. (Say certain prayers over 9 days) I thought we could do it together. I have found the collective conscience to be powerful for people and for healing. If you’re up for it, join the LoveLetter, then set your intention for the nine days. I’ll send the prayer for the day to you around 5am over the course of the nine days. (I’m an early riser and say my prayers and intentions first thing in the am.) If you’re not into it, don’t do it. Simple as that.
Examples of intentions;
- Live your life for love
- Having the right romantic partner for the highest good of all
- A strong, loving marriage
- Heal yourself so that you are open to love
- Allow love to flow to and from you
- For peace and love within the world
The intentions are endless. Sit, think, pray, or meditate on what your personal intention will be for the nine days.
If you’re interested in being a part of this love circle and you’re not already a part of the LoveLetter, join here, or text LoveBlog to 444-999. Those that have already joined the LoveLetter will receive these emails automatically. The prayers will begin on St Anne’s feast day, Wednesday July 26th 2017. Each day you’ll receive the prayer. Let’s bring more love into the world together!

We are days away from the love bubble weekend aka Nantucket Yoga Festival. For those looking to challenge their bodies and mind and the way you view yourself, there are workshops for you. For those that are looking to broaden their minds, hearts and spirit, there are workshops for you. For those that don't want to move, they want to educate themselves, there are workshops for you. Look for workshops taking place in the hayloft. For those that are looking for the free community classes or just want to enjoy the scene, everyday during the lunch hour there are offerings and all day the vender tent is open. There really is something for everyone. I know you'll leave this yoga festival weekend with a full heart, a new perspective and a sense of yourself and community. Here are the workshops I'm hoping to attend; the opening night on Friday sets the tone for the weekend. It's been one of my favorite parts to the weekend. I always feel lifted and excited about life and the weekend. Aya and Tyler will be performing live music. Can't wait! Plus the food on Friday is sooo good. I hope no one judges me if I go up for seconds.
Every workshop looks incredible! Its a challenge to decide what to go to. Know there are more workshops every session than what I have listed. Three different options for the first session and four options for the other sessions.
For Saturday workshops; the morning walking meditation both Saturday and Sunday with Larisa Forman is magical. She has a spirit like no other! This is free to all. I highly suggest it.
For Saturday, barely any movement for me. The workshops for broaden the mind and spirit are calling me. My birthday is this month and I always go internal this time of year. Helps to have this weekend to help me reflect on the year past and the year before me.
Here's my wish list thus far but it may change.
1st workshop. Alan and Sarah finger. Kriya yoga. Purifying ones consciousness.
Workshop 2. Yoga for the joyful mind-a yoga sutra workshop.
Lunch while listening to the community concert with Aya and Tyler sounds delightful.
Workshop 3. Cyndi Spiegel. On fear and the imposter syndrome.
Workshop 4. Karina Avdulova cracking the social media code the authentic way
Walking beach meditation with Larissa
Workshop 1. Natasha rizopoulos. Open your hips, open your heart.
Workshop 2. Cyndi Spiegel. On being. Owning your true voice and your genuine vibe.
Lunch time there are free community classes with Shannah Green and Meg Rohrer. And both Saturday and Sunday there is a free community class with Barre Bus.
Workshop 3. Sara Divello. Yoga throughout the day. Tools, techniques and rituals to help you rise, revive and rest.
Workshop 4. The end of the weekend send off with Alan and Sarah finger South bath. A healing experience.
