According to the French, The key to effortless beauty is taking care of skin and I would add, a smile is also a part of this effortlessness. Here are my favorite skin care products, some of which I have been using for years. Also, getting regular facials helps to keep skin clean and fresh as well as prevent the signs of aging. By far, my favorite facialists is Lynn Tucker. She can transform your skin! Bonus: Book a pedicure with her while you are receiving your facial. While your lying down and during the mask portion of the facial, you will be able to truly relax as she massages your feet and beautifies them. It's heaven!
Step 1: Cleansing the Skin
Facial Wash: Murad Clarifying Cleanser - I've been using this for years. I love it! Within a few days this will help and prevent breakouts. Plus, I swear by it to help with fighting a cold.
Facial Scrub: Ole Henriksen Walnut Scrub - I love this scrub! I use a scrub my once or twice a week. The walnut scrub smells amazing. Any scrub will help remove dead skin so that your moisturizer will soak into your skin.
All over cleansing of skin: Tatcha Classic Rice Enzyme - This helps makes your skin perfection! It cleanses, scrubs, tones and moisturizes. I love the story behind this brand as well.
Step 2: Moisturizing
Eyes: Tarte Maracuja C-Brightener - This eye cream is wonderful and thick. Can be used both at night and during the day. Looks great under make-up.
At this point I usually use a serum of some sorts. I haven't found one that I am completely in love with. I love using a paper mask at night once a week. My favorite is SK-ii Facial Treatment. I am able to use the same mask about three times. Save the mask in a container or plastic bag and place in the fridge.
Main Moisturizer: I also haven't found a moisturizer that I am in love with either. But I do love a moisturizing mask that I will use as a main moisturizer.
Origins: 10 Minute Mask - I will use this sometimes as my main moisturizer, especially during the winter. This cream really helps keep my skin dewy.
Tomorrow the post will be my favorite beauty products part 2 - Makeup.
