LoveBlog - Love is breaking us. Love is rebuilding us.

Breaking open is not a bad place to be. Love can do that. Love can break us open and we see ourselves for who we really are. To notice the parts of ourselves that are no longer serving us for our greater good. To also notice the beautiful parts we need to treasure more. We take ourselves for granted don't we? We think we will always have the ability to do what we need to do. We become shocked and scared when we believe our worlds are upside down or we have failed. Truth is, this is part of the path. There are many paths. It is our choice which one to choose at any given moment. Every choice leads us down a new direction and path. It's neither good nor bad for love can break us and we have the choice for love rebuild us.

I went to church this past Sunday in New York with some friends. The first part of the service was just music and boy was it moving! Trinity Grace has many parishes throughout the city and this particular one was held in a school. They are welcoming of all faiths and beliefs and speak of peace. One of the songs that was sung had the phrase in it "Love is breaking us. Love is rebuilding us". This song inspired today's LoveBlog. Going through a recent breakup I can't help but be moved by this phrase. Love is so powerful. It's so powerful we fear it. We fear love. The great paradox is that love is what concurs fear. So when we are broken in love, it's usually because of fear. I won't presume to know your fears. We all have them though and they creep into our love lives and into our everyday.

With those breaks from love we can rebuild using love. However you feel love enters your life and your everyday is the key to rebuilding. Maybe it's a good movie, music, being creative, napping, being around children, the work that you do, being in nature, reading a good book. However love enters you and makes you feel good, you should have more of that. That's how you will rebuild. That's how you will fight fear.

Which brings us to today's love tip. Love can break you open, so that you can rebuild a new a wondrous self.

Once you are broken open, clear the rubble, and be cleared so that you may rebuild. And you will rebuild. You will become more wondrous than ever before. Love and life find a way.
